Reservoir Dogs (1992)
Quentin Tarantino’s film, Reservoir Dogs (1992), follows a group of eight men as they carry out a diamond heist. They all use aliases except for the boss, Joe Cabot, and his son, ‘Nice Guy’ Eddie Cabot. While having breakfast at a diner, things take a dangerous turn when they realize the job was a setup and their fellow thief, Blonde, has gone rogue. With Brown dead and Blue and Blonde missing, White and Orange flee to their hideout where they meet up with Pink. As tensions rise between the men over what to do next, White is angered by the fact that Blonde was even hired in the first place due to his reckless behavior. Amidst the chaos, Pink reveals he has hidden the diamonds nearby while White debates whether or not to seek medical attention for Orange. As their disagreement escalates, guns are drawn between Pink and White.
As Blonde brings along a kidnapped policeman, Marvin Nash, they back down. Prior to this, after serving a four-year prison sentence, Blonde meets with the Cabots. Grateful for his discretion in not divulging Joe’s name to the authorities, they offer him a job. However, Blonde expresses his desire to return to ‘real work’, and they enlist him for the heist. In the current moment, White and Pink beat Nash for information. Eddie shows up and instructs them to dispose of the getaway vehicles. Meanwhile, Blonde remains in charge of Nash and Orange is present as well. Despite Nash denying any knowledge, Blonde disregards him and continues with the torture…until Orange shoots and kills him. As it turns out, Orange is actually an undercover police officer and informs Nash that the police will arrive when Joe arrives at the warehouse.
