Saw X (2023)

Saw X (2023), an American horror film, is directed and edited by Kevin Greutert. The screenplay was written by Peter Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg. This movie is the tenth in the Saw film series, a direct sequel to Saw (2004) and a prequel to Saw II (2005). After being diagnosed with advanced brain cancer, John Kramer seeks out alternative treatments. He meets Henry Kessler at a cancer support group and learns of an experimental Norwegian treatment from Dr. Finn Pederson’s team. Desperate for a cure, John reaches out to Dr. Pederson’s daughter Cecilia, who directs him to her clinic outside Mexico City. Upon arrival, John meets Cecilia, her team (Mateo, Valentina, and Dr. Cortez), patients Gabriela and Parker, and caretaker’s son Carlos.

He undergoes surgery and wakes up to good news from Cecilia — he is now cancer-free. After finding a new lease on life, he goes to purchase a gift for Gabriela. However, upon returning to the clinic, he is dismayed to find it completely abandoned. To his shock, he stumbles upon a video that simulates his brain surgery and quickly removes his bandages, only to discover that there is no scar on his head. This reveals the entire operation as an elaborate scam. After deducing that ‘Dr. Cortez’ was actually Diego, his taxi driver in disguise, John takes matters into his own hands and kidnaps him for interrogation. He then forces Diego into a dangerous ‘game’ where he must remove pipe bombs wired onto his arms – which he manages to do successfully.
