Toy Story Toons: Small Fry (2011) is an American computer-animated short film written and directed by Angus MacLane. One evening at the fast-food chicken restaurant Poultry Palace, Bonnie is disappointed to receive a Zurg belt buckle as her kids’ meal toy instead of the Mini Buzz Lightyear she was hoping for. This happened because the restaurant had run out of Mini Buzz toys. In a nearby display cabinet, a Mini Buzz Lightyear expresses frustration to a Mini Zurg about never being played with, but Mini Zurg chooses to stay put. After finishing her meal, Bonnie heads over to play in the ball pit with Rex and Buzz Lightyear, whom she has brought along. Taking advantage of this opportunity to finally be played with, Mini Buzz sneaks out of the display cabinet and joins in on the fun by climbing into the ball pit and taking Buzz’s place under the balls. Unaware that Mini Buzz isn’t actually the real Buzz, Bonnie’s mother packs up all of her daughter’s toys into her bag.
Mini Buzz successfully deceives Rex into believing that he is the real Buzz, having been shrunk by the plastic in the ball pit. However, upon their return home, the other toys quickly see through his facade. Meanwhile, Buzz emerges from the balls and realizes he has been left behind at the now-closed restaurant. In his attempt to flee, Buzz stumbles upon a storage room being used for a support group for abandoned fast food toys. The group is led by Neptuna, a mermaid toy. Assuming Buzz is one of their own, they involve him in their meeting. During a therapeutic reenactment session, Buzz meets Gary Grappling Hook, another member of the group who helps him escape.
