Accompanied by his teenage daughter Michelle, the two return to Jon’s hometown of Glenrock for the funeral. While there, they are confronted with haunting memories from thirty years ago when Jon’s older sister Lisa was brutally murdered by a group of teenagers while attempting a demonic ritual. After stopping the ritual by electrocuting the perpetrators, Jon has to face the painful memories once again. Meanwhile, Michelle befriends three individuals – Steve, a mentally handicapped gardener, Maria, a boy-crazy girl, and Jules, Maria’s psychic best friend who used to clean her grandmother’s house.
The evening following the funeral, they extend an invitation to Michelle to join them for dinner at the local diner. They express a desire to get to know her better before she leaves for her 18th birthday celebrations. Upon arriving at the diner, the girls are approached by a boy who bears a striking resemblance to Tony Reno and even shares his name. While Maria develops a crush on him, he seems more interested in getting to know Michelle. He gifts her an old pocket watch as an early birthday present before departing. Meanwhile, Jon is disturbed by Father Archer Roberts, a priest he sought solace from after Lisa’s tragic death. The priest reveals that his mother’s passing was not accidental.
