South Park: Imaginationland (2008) marks the tenth episode of South Park’s eleventh season and the 163rd overall episode. This installment follows Cartman as he leads his friends through a forest, searching for a leprechaun. Kyle, who is doubtful of their success, makes a risky bet with Cartman. If the elusive creature is found, Kyle will have to fulfill an unusual request from Cartman. But if they fail to locate the leprechaun, Cartman will owe Kyle money. Surprisingly, they do come across the little green creature and promptly give chase until they finally capture it in a trap. The leprechaun reveals that he was sent to warn them about an impending terrorist attack but was delayed by their relentless pursuit. The following day, while chatting with Stan, Kenny, Jimmy and Butters, Kyle is approached by a mysterious man who inquires about the whereabouts of the mischievous leprechaun.
When Kyle debates that leprechauns are solely a figment of one’s imagination, the man promptly reminds him that just because something is imagined does not negate its existence. He then invites the boys on an adventurous journey aboard his ‘Imagination Flying Machine’ while serenading them with ‘The Imagination Song’. The group arrives in a magical realm known as Imaginationland, home to all beings brought to life through human creativity. The imaginative creatures are enthralled by the presence of their ‘creators’ and inquire about the leprechaun. Suddenly, a group of militant extremists materialize and launch a brutal attack, causing mass destruction and claiming countless innocent lives. The boys frantically escape on Draco’s back while Butters is left behind and taken prisoner with other surviving imaginary characters. The next morning, Kyle awakens in his bed, initially thinking it was all just a dream – until he speaks to Stan who recounts the same harrowing tale. They soon learn that Butters is missing, much to the distress of his parents.
