South Park: Post Covid - The Return of Covid (2021)

An American adult animated comedy television special, South Park: Post Covid: The Return of Covid (2021), written and directed by Trey Parker, follows Stan Marsh as he remembers the beginning of the pandemic. He and his classmates were sent home before they could blackmail a fellow student for VIP access to a Denver Nuggets game. This led to a series of events that resulted in Stan accidentally burning down Tegridy Farms and causing his sister’s death, which ultimately led to their mother’s suicide. Presently, South Park is still under quarantine due to the new COVID-19 variant. While on the run and protecting his last sprout of marijuana, Randy Marsh is confronted by Shady Acres nurses. However, Token Black steps in and takes Randy to Kenny McCormick’s laboratory. Stan, Kyle Broflovski, and their friends must find a way past the firewall at the lab with a voice command from either Kenny or his institutionalized associate, Victor Chouce.

Realizing they needed aluminum foil for the experiment, Stan and Kyle set out to retrieve it while Tweek Tweak and Craig Tucker searched for the supplies. At the asylum, they found that “Chouce” was actually “Chaos.” To their surprise, Chaos turned out to be Butters Stotch, who had been driven to insanity by his parents’ abandonment. It was during his isolation that Chaos became involved in NFTs, ultimately leading to his institutionalization. Though Stan and Kyle were escorted out of Chaos’ cell, he later managed to escape. Meanwhile, Randy focused on cultivating his marijuana while the others discussed Kenny’s plans to prevent the pandemic. However, Randy refused to cooperate and confessed that all possible outcomes involved him engaging in sexual acts with a pangolin. The group’s efforts were further complicated by Clyde Donovan’s refusal to get vaccinated.
