Spies in Disguise (2019)
Spies in Disguise (2019) is an American animated spy comedy produced by Blue Sky Studios and distributed by 20th Century Fox. Lance Sterling, a confident agent of H.T.U.V. (Honor, Trust, Unity and Valor), is tasked with retrieving an attack drone from Japanese arms dealer Katsu Kimura in Japan. Despite orders from H.T.U.V. director Joy Jenkins to stay put, Sterling takes matters into his own hands and successfully defeats Kimura and his gang before escaping with the drone. Upon returning to headquarters, Sterling confronts Walter Beckett, a social outcast and MIT graduate who equipped nonlethal weapons into Sterling’s suit. However, after being fired by Sterling, Walter reveals his latest invention: ‘biodynamic concealment’- a peaceful solution for saving the world.
After finding the briefcase empty, Sterling faces Marcy Kappel, an internal affairs agent. She shares footage of ‘Sterling’ – who is actually Killian in disguise – leaving with the drone and accuses him of betrayal. To evade capture by the H.T.U.V., Sterling seeks out Walter’s help to disappear. At the same time, Killian breaks into a covert weapons facility belonging to the H.T.U.V. In search of Walter’s invention, Sterling unknowingly ingests a substance that transforms him into a pigeon. Before they can make any decisions, Marcy and her colleagues from the H.T.U.V. pursue them through the city. Luckily, Sterling’s spy car allows them to escape. The pair then locates Kimura at a resort in Playa del Carmen, Mexico where they discover information about Killian’s whereabouts in Venice, Italy before being pursued once again by Marcy and her team.
