Gregorio and Ingrid Cortez lead a double life as spies while protecting their two children, Carmen and Juni. Their work at the Organization of Super Spies (OSS) usually involves desk jobs but they are called back to active duty when agents go missing. Their prime suspect is Fegan Floop, a children’s TV host who has allegedly turned his victims into ‘Fooglies’, creatures featured on his show that Juni is an avid fan of. In their absence, the children are entrusted to their uncle Felix Gumm. However, when the parents are captured by Floop’s ‘Thumb-Thumbs’, giant robots with thumb-like features for limbs and heads, Felix reveals himself as an agent sent to watch over them and informs them of their true identity as well as the danger surrounding their parents’ missions.
The Ninja Thumb-Thumbs attack the house, resulting in Felix’s capture while the children flee on the NIX Super Guppy submarine, set on autopilot to a safe location. Upon arriving at the safe house, the children come to terms with their parents’ secret spy identities and make the decision to rescue them. Meanwhile, inside Floop’s castle, he presents his latest invention – child-shaped robots – to Mr. Lisp. The two plot to replace key world leaders’ children with these highly advanced robots in order to gain control of the world. However, due to the androids lacking artificial intelligence, they are unable to function beyond their intended programming. This causes Lisp to become enraged and demand functioning androids.
