Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008)

Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008) hit theaters as an animated sci-fi film. Produced by Lucasfilm Ltd. and Lucasfilm Animation, it was a departure from the usual distributor 20th Century Fox for the franchise. Amidst the ongoing Clone Wars, the Galactic Republic finds themselves stranded in the Outer Rim, with the Separatists gaining control of key hyperspace lanes. On Christophsis, Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker leads his forces against Count Dooku’s army alongside his teacher Obi-Wan Kenobi and clone captain Rex. Despite their valiant efforts, the clones are no match for the enemy. Enter young Jedi Ahsoka Tano, sent by Grand Master Yoda to train under Anakin’s tutelage as his padawan. As they await reinforcements, Separatist commander Loathsom activates an energy field that threatens their mission. Working together, Anakin, Ahsoka, and Obi-Wan devise a plan to take down the energy field and secure victory for the Republic.

Meanwhile, in an attempt to secure a partnership with the Hutts, Dooku has taken Rotta, Jabba the Hutt’s son, captive. While Obi-Wan assures Jabba that Rotta will be safely returned, Anakin and his clone army head to the planet of Teth to retrieve the young Hutt. After successfully rescuing Rotta from a monastery where he was being held, Anakin and Ahsoka realize they have been led into a trap by Dooku. It is revealed that Dooku orchestrated the kidnapping as a ploy to turn the Hutts against the Jedi and gain support for the Separatist cause.
