Stay Close (2021)
Based on the 2012 Harlan Coben novel of the same name, Stay Close (2021) is a British miniseries filled with mystery and drama. It was produced by Red Production Company for Netflix. The story follows Megan Pierce, a suburban mother living in the fictional suburb of Livingstone, who has a dark past that she keeps hidden. Alongside her loving husband Dave and their three children, she has found happiness. However, Ray Levine’s life took a drastic turn when he lost the woman he loved. Once a talented documentary photographer, he now works as a paparazzo-for-hire to wealthy young socialites. Meanwhile, Detective Michael Broome still grapples with a cold case from seventeen years ago involving the disappearance of local husband and father Stewart Green. Even after all this time, Green’s wife still holds onto hope for his return.
When a man disappears on the anniversary of Stewart’s vanishing, Broome eagerly takes the case in hopes of laying his demons to rest. As his investigations dig up old wounds and evoke past memories, the potential for devastation looms over lives and relationships alike. Tangled within the threads that connect these three individuals are two eccentric psychopaths driven by their own motives.
