The show follows the Roy family as they navigate the unpredictable world of their global media and entertainment empire, Waystar RoyCo. With its impressive writing, acting, humor, music, directing and production quality, Succession has received widespread critical praise throughout its four seasons. It has also been recognized with numerous awards and nominations such as the Golden Globe for Best Television Series – Drama and Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series in both 2020 and 2022. Additionally, stars Brian Cox and Jeremy Strong have won Golden Globes for Best Actor – Television Series Drama while Sarah Snook was awarded Best Supporting Actress – Series, Miniseries or Television Film. On top of that, Strong and Matthew Macfadyen have also received Primetime Emmy Awards for their outstanding performances while creator Jesse Armstrong has earned three wins for Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series.
In the Succession, Logan Roy, the patriarch of the Roy family, owns the global media conglomerate Waystar RoyCo based in New York City. As his four children begin to prepare for their future without their father and compete for a role within the company, they are estranged oldest son Connor, power-hungry Kendall, irreverent Roman, and politically savvy Shiv.
