Superbad (2007)
Superbad (2007) is an American comedy film from about two best friends, Seth and Evan. The two are seniors in high school and getting ready to head off to different colleges. At a party thrown by Jules, Seth’s love interest, the boys plan to get alcohol through Fogell’s fake ID. But their plans take a turn when Fogell is confronted by a robber and the police show up. Thinking their friend is being arrested, Seth and Evan are surprised when the officers offer to give ‘McLovin’ a ride to the party instead. Meanwhile, Seth gets hit by a car outside of the liquor store and makes a deal with the driver for a ride to another party where they can get alcohol. As this is happening, Slater and Michaels bond with Fogell on their ride along, even though they are supposed to be on duty. They end up drinking, misusing their sirens, and even shooting at a stop sign.
At the party, Seth fills empty laundry detergent bottles with alcohol from the basement and dances with an intoxicated girl. Meanwhile, a group of inebriated men coerce Evan into singing ‘These Eyes’ for them. Unfortunately, the drunk girl accidentally stains Seth’s leg with menstrual blood. The party’s host becomes angry when he sees Seth dancing with his fiancée and a fight breaks out. In the chaos, the police are called and Seth and Evan manage to slip away. As they flee, Seth berates Evan for abandoning him, reminding him that they had promised to go to college together since they were young but Evan got accepted into Dartmouth instead. Evan argues back that Seth has always been selfish and held him back, declaring that he no longer wants to be slowed down by their friendship.
