Tales from the Crypt Presents: Bordello of Blood (1996) is an American horror comedy film directed by Gilbert Adler. After an argument with his sister Katherine, Caleb Verdoux seeks refuge at a nearby dive bar. It’s there that he encounters an eccentric man named Jenkins, who reveals the existence of a secret brothel hidden within a funeral home. Intrigued, Caleb and his friend Reggie decide to investigate, only to be held at gunpoint by mortician McCutcheon. They are then forced to enter a coffin which leads them to the brothel – unbeknownst to them, it is run by vampires under the command of Lilith. As Reggie falls victim to Lilith’s seductive charms and is subsequently killed and turned into a vampire himself, Caleb narrowly escapes capture. When Caleb goes missing, his sister reluctantly hires jaded private investigator Rafe Guttman to track him down.
With help from Caleb’s friends and a tip from Jenkins, Rafe follows the trail to the funeral home where he witnesses Lilith interviewing one of her potential victims, Tamara. After locating Caleb’s nose ring, he makes a swift getaway. The following day, he presents the piece to Katherine and informs her of his plan to watch the funeral home that very evening. During his escape, Rafe accidentally drops his wallet, which leads Lilith straight to his doorstep. After tasting Rafe’s blood, Lilith becomes increasingly intrigued and attempts to lure him in. Katherine soon arrives on the scene and Rafe fills her in on the brothel’s disturbing activities. Together, they inform the authorities but unfortunately, their claims are dismissed due to insufficient proof. Meanwhile, Vincent destroys the key, ultimately setting Lilith free.
