Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure (2017 — 2020)

Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure (2017–2020), is an animated television show created by Chris Sonnenburg and Shane Prigmore and produced by Disney Television Animation. After escaping Mother Gothel and reuniting with her birth parents, King Frederic and Queen Arianna of Corona, Princess Rapunzel struggles to adapt due to her father’s overprotectiveness. While sneaking out of the castle with her handmaiden Cassandra, they stumble upon some black rock spikes that magically restore Rapunzel’s long blonde hair. Together with Eugene Fitzherbert, Pascal the chameleon, Maximus the horse, and a young alchemist named Varian, they unravel the mystery behind her hair’s return and its connection to the growing black rocks in Corona. Eventually, Rapunzel discovers that she possesses the power of the Sundrop Flower and the black rocks are leading her to the Dark Kingdom.

In the second season, Rapunzel’s group journeys to the Dark Kingdom with Lance, Hook Foot, and Shorty. They also encounter Adira, a mysterious sword-wielder from that kingdom. As they travel, they discover the source of the mysterious rocks – the Moonstone Opal, which is the opposite of Rapunzel’s power, the Sundrop. Throughout their journey, Rapunzel learns more about her abilities and their connection to an ancient power that is seeking to reunite. However, things take a dark turn when Cassandra turns against Rapunzel and takes in the Moonstone’s power for herself. In the third and final season, Rapunzel must return to Corona as queen after learning that her parents have been overthrown. Meanwhile, she must also face off against Cassandra and Zhan Tiri – a dangerous demon who plans to use both powers to conquer and destroy Corona.
