Largo Winch II (2011) is a thrilling French film based on the Belgian comic of the same name. Three years prior to his passing, Nerio Winch shares with his bodyguard, Freddy, that he has located his son, Largo, in a village in Burma. He instructs Freddy to follow him closely. Meanwhile, Largo saves villagers from a massacre perpetrated by General Min and his local militia. As he tends to the wounded with his partner Malunai, Frenchman Simon Ovronnaz arrives with survivors in tow. However, when Simon reveals he was hired by someone working for Min, the villagers turn on him and Kadjang suffers severe injuries after a confrontation with Largo. Consequently, Largo is banished from the village and Malunai disavows him.
Largo departs Burma with Simon, each heading towards different destinations. In the present, he reveals his decision to sell his entire company and donate the proceeds to charity. Assisting him in this endeavor are Alexandre Jung, a former director of the Red Cross and friend of Largo’s father, and Dwight Cochrane, current director of W Group. However, as Largo finalizes the sale on Neretva, a Hong Kong Police unit led by UN investigator Diane Francken arrives. They accuse Largo of cooperating in a massacre in Burma through payments made from Nerio’s secret account known as Pandora. During their search of the yacht, they also discover Freddy strangled in his room.
