The Garfield Movie (2024)
The animated comedy film, The Garfield Movie (2024), is based on the popular comic strip created by Jim Davis. It follows the story of an obese and lazy orange tabby cat named Garfield, who lives a life of luxury with his best friend, Odie the beagle, and their owner Jon Arbuckle. One fateful night, while sneaking a late-night snack, Garfield and Odie are captured by two dogs – a Shar Pei and a whippet – named Roland and Nolan. The unlikely duo takes them to an abandoned mall as prisoners. But luck is on their side when Garfield’s long-lost father, Vic, comes to their rescue. Despite their troubled past, Vic helps Garfield and Odie escape from the clutches of Jinx – a vengeful Persian cat who was imprisoned for her involvement in a milk heist at Lactose Farms.
In exchange for her forgiveness, Jinx strikes a deal with Vic that involves stealing large quantities of milk from Lactose Farms once again. And so, reluctantly agreeing to this task under the watchful eyes of Roland and Nolan, Garfield sets out on yet another adventure. The next day, Jon realizes that Garfield and Odie are missing, but struggles to find anyone willing to assist in the search. Vic decides to hitch a ride on a train bound for Lactose Farms, hoping to connect with Garfield along the way. Unfortunately, Garfield remains aloof and uninterested in bonding with him. Once they arrive at the well-protected farm, they encounter Otto, an ex-mascot bull who was ousted when someone took over the property.
