The action comedy film, The Hitman’s Bodyguard (2017), was directed by Patrick Hughes and written by Tom O’Connor. After a devastating failed mission for a high-status client in Japan, former elite bodyguard Michael Bryce’s once impeccable reputation is now tarnished. Reduced to a lower class of protection work, Bryce is determined to redeem himself and jumps at the chance to escort notorious hitman Darius Kincaid from Manchester to the Hague as requested by Interpol. Although the job seems straightforward–transport Kincaid from one location to another–the journey is perilous, with Kincaid being the sole witness against a brutal Belarusian leader and therefore a prime target for assassination.
The armed convoy was ambushed and Darius narrowly made it to a safe-house, thanks to an Interpol insider. Amelia offers to reinstate Bryce’s standing if he aids in safely transporting Darius, who happens to have eliminated their Japanese target, to the International Court. Dukhovich’s hired henchmen are relentless in their attempts to take them out, leaving the two with no choice but to reluctantly team up. It’s certainly a daunting task, as the unlikely pair must set aside their grievances and race against time in a constant battle of bullets. Will the bodyguard be able to see through his most crucial assignment yet as a hitman?
