The Incredibles (2004), an American animated superhero film from Pixar Animation Studios and Walt Disney Pictures, follows Bob Parr (also known as Mr. Incredible) on the day of his wedding to Helen Truax (aka Elastigirl). In an act of heroism, Bob stops a man from jumping off a building and then uncovers a robbery by supervillain Bomb Voyage. However, he is interrupted by Buddy Pine, an eager fan who wishes to be his sidekick. Bob turns down Buddy’s offer and manages to remove a bomb that Voyage planted on his cape. Unfortunately, this results in the destruction of an elevated train track and forces Bob to quickly stop an incoming train. Following their wedding, Bob is faced with lawsuits from both the suicidal civilian and injured train passengers over the collateral damage. These lawsuits create a negative perception of superheroes among the public, leading the government to implement the Superhero Relocation Program, which prohibits any use of powers in public and drives all ‘supers’ into hiding.
After 15 years, Bob has left behind his slender figure and now resides in Metroville with Helen and their kids – Violet, Dash, and baby Jack-Jack. While he cherishes his loved ones, Bob yearns for his days as a superhero and resents the monotony of his job as a claims adjuster. To add some excitement to his life, he occasionally takes on the role of a vigilante alongside his closest friend Frozone (also known as Lucius Best). One day, Bob’s boss Gilbert Huph prevents him from intervening during a mugging situation. Frustrated, Bob lashes out and ends up injuring Huph, ultimately leading to his dismissal from work. However, this same day brings a new opportunity for Bob when Mirage offers him a secret mission: to defeat an enormous “Omnidroid” robot wreaking havoc on Nomanisan island. By using clever tactics to destroy the robot’s power source, Bob successfully completes the mission.
