The Old Man (2022 — 2024)
The Old Man (2022–2024) is an American drama thriller television series based on the 2017 novel The Old Man by Thomas Perry. As a Vietnam veteran and former CIA operative, Dan Chase lives off-the-grid in Connecticut for thirty years after killing an intruder who broke into his home. The show was developed by Jonathan E. Steinberg and Robert Levine. While fleeing, Chase rents a room from Zoe McDonald, who becomes his forced partner.
In light of Chase’s complicated past during the Soviet–Afghan War, FBI Assistant Director for Counterintelligence Harold Harper was assigned the task of apprehending him. A hit-man hired by Harper to kill Chase, Angela Adams, CIA officer Raymond Waters, and CIA officer Julian Carson work alongside Harper’s protégés.
