Chapelwaite is an American horror television series based on the short story “Jerusalem’s Lot” by American writer Stephen King. It is written by Peter and Jason Filardi, and premiered on Epix on August 22, 2021. The series takes place in the second half of the 19th century in America. After the death of his wife, former captain Charles Boone moves with his children to the family estate of Chapelwaite, located in Maine, which was inherited from his cousin. To help raise the children, Charles hires a governess, Rebecca Morgan. However, the locals are not at all happy about the appearance of new tenants in the mansion, as they are sure that the Boon family is haunted by misfortune, and the Chapelwaite mansion is a hotbed of evil. Soon the family is faced with dark forces at home…
