The Secret Life of Pets 2 (2019)

An American animated comedy film, The Secret Life of Pets 2 (2019), was created by Illumination and distributed by Universal Pictures. Following the events of the first movie, Max and Duke’s owner, Katie, marries a man named Chuck and has a son named Liam. At first, Max disapproves of Liam but later develops overprotective feelings for him. To help with his symptoms, Katie takes Max to the vet and gets him a dog cone. But when the family goes on a road trip to Chuck’s uncle’s farm, Max is initially uncomfortable with the new environment. Welsh Sheepdog Rooster advises him to let go of his insecurities about Liam and removes his dog cone. After getting into trouble with some sheep on the farm, Rooster takes Max on a mission to find one that ran away. With Rooster’s encouragement, Max learns to conquer his fears and bravely rescues Cotton from a tree. This earns him respect from Rooster.

Before Max’s departure, he entrusted his beloved toy, Busy Bee, to Gidget. However, while in the possession of Gidget, Busy Bee goes missing in an apartment overrun by cats and owned by a cat lady. Seeking assistance, Gidget enlists Chloe’s feline expertise to help her infiltrate the apartment. With Norman’s aid, Busy Bee is successfully retrieved and Gidget unexpectedly gains a reputation as the ‘queen of cats’. Meanwhile, Snowball, who aspires to be a hero, crosses paths with Shih Tzu Daisy. Daisy explains that she needs help rescuing Hu, a white tiger she encountered on a plane. Hu is being held captive by an abusive circus owner named Sergei. Together, Daisy and Snowball devise a plan to sneak into the circus and liberate Hu despite Sergei’s pack of black wolves. However, during their daring escape, Daisy loses her floral accessory which the wolves use to track her down once again.
