The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (2010)

The romantic fantasy film, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (2010), follows the story of Bella Swan and her vampire lover, Edward Cullen. Directed by David Slade and written by Melissa Rosenberg, the movie is an adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s novel of the same name. In Seattle, Victoria attacks a human named Riley to start an army of newborn vampires in order to get revenge on Edward for killing her previous partner. Meanwhile, Bella and Edward contemplate the idea of immortality and marriage in Forks, Washington. Despite Bella’s desire to be turned into a vampire, Edward insists on waiting until they are married so she can have more human experiences. Amidst all this, Bella’s childhood friend Jacob Black reveals his love for her through a forceful kiss – adding to their complicated love triangle.

In a fit of anger, she strikes him and injures her hand, but later grants forgiveness upon his apology. Rosalie confesses to Bella her jealousy towards her and disapproval of becoming a vampire. Alice, Edward’s adoptive sister known for her visions of the future, foresees an upcoming attack on Forks led by Riley and his newborn vampire army. The Cullen family forms a tentative alliance with the werewolf tribe and together they decide to strategize and train for the impending battle. During their training, Jasper, Alice’s partner, reveals he was once a part of a newborn army and despised himself until he fell in love with Alice. Witnessing the strong bond between a mated vampire pair, Bella realizes the significance of spending eternity with Edward and agrees to marry him.
