The American political action thriller television series known as Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan (2018–2023), based on characters from the fictional Ryanverse by Tom Clancy, first premiered on August 31, 2018, on Amazon Prime Video. When CIA analyst Jack Ryan discovers a series of suspicious bank transfers, his search for answers takes him away from his desk job and into a dangerous game across Europe and the Middle East. With a terrorist leader planning a major attack against the US and its allies, Ryan must stay one step ahead in this deadly cat-and-mouse pursuit.
In the first season, our main character, a CIA analyst, is thrust out of his comfortable desk job and into the field when he uncovers a series of questionable bank transfers orchestrated by an up-and-coming extremist named Suleiman. Moving on to the second season, we find Jack embroiled in political battles within Venezuela’s corrupt government. As for the third season, our protagonist is hot on the trail of a dangerous plot to revive the former Soviet Union by detonating an untraceable nuclear bomb in an Eastern Bloc country. In his fourth season as acting deputy director of the CIA, Jack faces his most perilous mission yet: investigating rumors of internal corruption that lead to evidence of collaboration between a drug cartel and terrorist group.
