Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009)

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009) is an American science fiction action film, inspired by Hasbro’s popular Transformers toys. In ancient times, the Primes, highly regarded leaders of Cybertronians, obtained their energy known as Energon through star harvesters. However, there was a rule among the Primes to never deplete stars that support life. One Prime broke this rule by constructing a star harvester on Earth and thus became known as ‘the Fallen’, the first Decepticon. Fast forward to 2009, two years after the battle in Mission City, the Autobots and humans have joined forces to form NEST (Non-biological Extraterrestrial Species Treaty), with the mission to eradicate any remaining Decepticons. During an encounter in Shanghai, two Decepticons are defeated but one of them warns of the Fallen’s imminent return before being vanquished. At the same time, another Decepticon, Soundwave, manages to hack into a military satellite and steals the last fragment of the AllSpark from a U.S Navy base in Diego Garcia.

The device is used to revive Megatron, who then rejoins the Fallen. Their leader orders Megatron and Starscream, his second-in-command, to retrieve Sam Witwicky alive and eliminate Optimus. Meanwhile, Sam has started attending Princeton University and has been experiencing visions of Cybertronian symbols ever since he came into contact with a small piece of the AllSpark. Megatron believes these symbols will lead them to an untapped source of Energon. As a result of the shard’s power, many household appliances come to life and try to harm Sam and his family until Bumblebee comes to their rescue. Mikaela receives the shard from Sam and ends up capturing Decepticon Wheelie as he tries to steal it. During an encounter with ‘Alice’, a Decepticon posing as a college student, Sam, his roommate Leo, and Mikaela are taken prisoner by Decepticon Grindor before being saved by the Autobots.
