Trap for Cinderella (2013)

Trap for Cinderella (2013) is a British thriller drama film written and directed by Iain Softley. When Micky, a 20-year-old girl, wakes up in the hospital after enduring serious burns that required reconstructive surgery, she also realizes she has amnesia. Despite being shown photos of her loved ones, she cannot remember them. The medical team informs her that she lives in London and both her parents passed away in a car accident when she was just 9 years old. Her aunt Elinor had taken care of her since then, but unfortunately, also passed away before Micky’s accident. With her injuries healed but her memory still missing, Micky is discharged from the hospital and sent home with Julia, who was once her aunt’s personal assistant and is now her guardian. However, when a boy named Jake tries to reach out to Micky, Julia intercepts and tells him that she isn’t ready to see any friends yet.
Eventually, Julia reveals to Micky that Jake was actually her boyfriend. Micky comes across some pictures of her friend Domenica ‘Do’ Law, shown to her by Julia. Julia also mentions that on her 21st birthday, Micky will inherit all of Elinor’s belongings. While going through the photos, Micky comes across an envelope sent by Jake and decides to take a cab to the address written on it. Surprisingly, the address is for James Chance’s office, who happens to be both Elinor’s lawyer and Jake’s employer. Without alerting Julia, Micky leaves the office and runs into Jake who invites her to his place. There, he reveals that they had broken up before the accident happened. Despite not having any memories of their previous relationship, Micky connects with Jake and they end up sleeping together. Before leaving, Jake gives Micky the keys and address to her old apartment.
