Tron: Uprising (2012–2013) is an American animated science fiction television series set in the Tron fictional universe. It takes place between the events of the films Tron (1982) and Tron: Legacy (2010) and aired a total of 19 episodes on Disney XD in the United States from May 18, 2012, to January 28, 2013. The show was primarily directed by Charlie Bean, with Justin Springer, Edward Kitsis, and Adam Horowitz serving as consulting producers.
Beck, a youthful program, rises as the leader of a rebellion in the computer world of the Grid, standing up against the villainous Clu and his followers. Trained by Tron, the greatest warrior in the Grid’s history, Beck learns not only combat and light cycle skills to combat the harsh military rule in Argon City, but also gains guidance and mentorship to mature into a fearless and influential figure. Adopting Tron’s identity, he becomes an adversary to General Tesler and his oppressive regime.
