James Cameron’s True Lies (1994) is an action-packed comedy following the double life of Harry Tasker. Unknown to his family, he carries out top-secret missions for the U.S. counterterrorism agency Omega Sector while pretending to be a traveling software salesman. Along with fellow agents Albert ‘Gib’ Gibson and Faisil, Harry attends a high-class party in Switzerland hosted by billionaire Jamal Khaled, where he encounters art dealer Juno Skinner. Unbeknownst to Harry, she is working for terrorist group ‘Crimson Jihad’, specifically their leader Salim Abu Aziz. Pretending to be interested in purchasing art from Skinner, Harry is targeted by the terrorists and engages in a dangerous fight with them. While successfully fighting off the attackers, he unfortunately loses track of Aziz and misses out on his family’s planned birthday celebration for him.
The following day, Harry visits Helen at her office to resolve their issues. However, he overhears her arranging a secret meeting with someone named Simon. Suspecting that Helen may be involved in an affair, Harry utilizes resources from Omega Sector to investigate further. He discovers that Simon is actually a used car salesman who pretends to be a covert agent to attract women. Undercover as one of the Omega agents, Harry and his team apprehend both Helen and Simon. After threatening Simon to stay away from Helen, Harry and Gib question her in a secure location using voice-altering technology. They uncover that she is going through a midlife crisis and craves excitement. In response, Harry arranges for Helen to participate in a mock spy mission where she must seduce an unknown figure and plant a bug in their hotel room.
