Underworld: Evolution (2006)

Underworld: Evolution (2006), an American action horror film, is directed by Len Wiseman and written by Danny McBride, based on a story developed by both of them. In the year 1202, an army led by three vampire elders (Markus, Viktor, and Amelia) attacks a village occupied by werewolves. During the assault, Markus’s twin brother William Corvinus, the first and most powerful werewolf, is captured by Viktor and Amelia. Despite Markus’s objections, Viktor orders William to be imprisoned in a hidden location for eternity. In present day, vampire Selene brings Michael to a safe house where she intends to confront vampire regent Kraven and stop him from killing Markus. However, before Kraven can arrive, Markus wakes up and eliminates him along with his men.

Lorenz Macaro, an immortal who is considered the ancestor of both vampires and werewolves, dispatches a team to investigate the aftermath of the battle at the Lycans’ lair. While examining Viktor’s lifeless body, Macaro discovers a metal disc that matches Sonja’s pendant. The other half of the pendant is now in Michael’s possession following Lucian’s demise. With the help of Kraven’s blood, Markus utilizes his computer knowledge to track down Selene and Michael. He launches an attack, but they manage to escape and take shelter in a warehouse. During their time there, Selene and Michael open up to each other and engage in a passionate encounter. Realizing the importance of the pendant to Markus, they decide to delve into its significance.
