Varg Veum - The Writing On The Wall (2010)

The seventh installment in the film series was theatrically released in Norway. Since then, all titles have been made available on both DVD and Blu-ray. The first of these films, directed by Stefan Faldbakken who is known for his commercial work, was titled Varg Veum – The Writing On The Wall (2010) or Skriften på veggen. Veum, who used to work as a private investigator, has now found a permanent job as a teacher and is happily settled down with his new girlfriend Karin.

However, his peaceful life takes a turn when he is confronted with his bitter enemy ‘The Knife’, who has just been released from prison and is seeking revenge against those who wrongfully accused him of murdering a teenage girl. As the case unfolds, Veum must grapple with his conscience and question if he truly played no part in the girl’s death. The only person who can provide answers is ‘The Knife’, but he is solely focused on getting revenge.
