Walking Tall (2004)

The American vigilante action film Walking Tall (2004), directed by Kevin Bray, is a remake of the 1973 movie with the same title. The story follows Sergeant Chris Vaughn, a former U.S. Army Special Forces member who returns to his hometown in Kitsap County, Washington. After finding out that the local cedar mill has closed down, Chris discovers that the owner, Jay Hamilton, now runs a casino that generates most of the town’s income. As Chris and Hamilton were school friends, the latter invites him for a night of fun at the casino. While exploring the VIP lounge, Chris runs into Deni, his childhood friend who works as a stripper there. Upon noticing that the craps dealer is using loaded dice, Chris exposes this to everyone present. A fight breaks out when the floorman refuses to pay out, and Chris takes matters into his own hands.
After overpowering the majority of the security personnel, Chris is eventually subdued by a cattle prod. Following this incident in the basement, Chris recovers and makes an effort to press charges against those responsible. However, Sheriff Stan Watkins dismisses his claims and declares the casino as off-limits. Further on, Chris discovers that his nephew Pete has unfortunately overdosed on drugs sold to him by the casino’s own security guards. Enraged by this revelation, Chris storms into the casino armed with a piece of lumber and proceeds to damage property and violently attack the security guards. As he attempts to flee from the scene, Chris is apprehended by Sheriff Watkins and his deputies. During the subsequent trial, employees and security personnel from Hamilton’s Casino provide testimony against Chris.
