Welcome to Collinwood (2002), the American caper comedy film written and directed by Anthony and Joe Russo. The plot follows Cosimo, who gets arrested with Toto while attempting to steal a car. In prison, he meets an elderly inmate who mentions the ‘Bellini’ – a perfect heist that he couldn’t complete due to a life sentence. With hopes of pulling off this elusive crime, Cosimo solicits his girlfriend Rosalind’s help in finding someone willing to take his place in jail for a sum of money. Rosalind and Toto reach out to Basil, Leon, Riley, and Pero ‘Pepe’ Mahalovic – each with their own urgent circumstances. While inside, Pero tricks Cosimo into revealing details about the Bellini before exposing his own suspended sentence, leaving Cosimo behind bars.
Upon returning home, Pero is greeted by Rosalind and the other four individuals who demand a refund. Pero explains that he used the $16,000 to settle his debts, but promises to share the details of the Bellini with them. As a group, they make the decision to carry out the heist themselves. The target of their scheme is a brick building on Chester that was once a flour factory and now houses apartments and a jewelry store. The conversion was overseen by an old man who built a false wall in one of the apartments, leading to the room with the safe holding the precious Bellini. In their pursuit of obtaining the combination for the safe, Riley steals a video camera from a street market in hopes of capturing footage of the jeweler opening it.
