Resident Evil: Extinction (2007) is an action horror film directed by Russell Mulcahy and written by Paul W. S. Anderson. In the movie, a cloned Alice awakens in a mansion and navigates her way through its corridors, being forced to escape multiple security traps along the way. However, she ultimately meets her demise when she sets off a bounding mine hidden on the floor. Her body is then disposed of into a pit filled with numerous other Alice clones, who serve as failed experiments for Umbrella Corporation’s Project Alice. Fast forward five years from Umbrella’s cover-up of the T-Virus contamination, it has now spread worldwide and caused catastrophic damage to both humans and the environment. The real Alice roams the wasteland and, after battling against a band of marauders, comes across a discarded notebook containing information about an uninfected area in Alaska.
At the same time, a group of survivors, including Claire Redfield, Carlos Oliveira, and L.J. Wade from Raccoon City, are traveling across the country in search of supplies and a safe place to stay. During their search at a motel, L.J. is bitten by a zombie. Afraid of his impending fate, he keeps the injury to himself and does not inform the others. The following morning, the convoy is attacked by a swarm of infected crows. As they struggle to defend themselves, Alice suddenly appears and uses her newfound telekinesis to defeat the remaining crows before falling unconscious. When she regains consciousness, Alice meets Claire and shares with her about the notebook she found, persuading her to bring the group to Alaska for safety.
