The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014)

The American superhero film The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) is based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man. It follows the story of former Oscorp scientist and businessman Richard Parker, who records a video message explaining his sudden disappearance along with his wife Mary. They try to escape on a private jet, but unfortunately, it is taken over by an assassin and crashes, resulting in the couple’s death. In present day, one year after defeating Dr. Curt Connors, their son Peter continues to use his powers as Spider-Man to fight crime and successfully captures notorious criminal Aleksei Sytsevich. However, due to concerns about his relationship with girlfriend Gwen Stacy and keeping a promise he made to her late father, Peter’s high school graduation brings an end to their romance. Meanwhile, Peter’s childhood friend Harry Osborn returns home to see his dying father, Norman Osborn, who was the CEO of Oscorp. Harry learns that he has inherited a genetic disease from his father that will soon start taking its toll on him. After Norman’s death, Harry takes over as the new CEO of Oscorp.

During his time at an Oscorp laboratory, Max Dillon, a mild-mannered electrical engineer, unintentionally receives a shock and falls into a tank of genetically engineered electric eels. The eels retaliate, resulting in Dillon’s transformation into a living electric generator. At the same time, Gwen informs Peter about her potential plans to relocate to England if she secures a scholarship at Oxford University. Unaware of his newfound abilities, Dillon wanders into Times Square and accidentally triggers a massive power outage. Thankfully, Peter arrives as Spider-Man to put an end to the chaos caused by Dillon. The incident leads to Dillon being taken to the Ravencroft Institute for further examination under the care of German scientist Dr. Ashley Kafka. Meanwhile, Harry begins experiencing symptoms of his illness and turns to information given to him by his father Norman in order to deduce that Spider-Man’s blood may hold the cure he needs.
