The Equalizer 2 (2018)

The film known as The Equalizer 2 (2018) is an American vigilante action-thriller directed by Antoine Fuqua. Robert McCall resides in Boston, where he drives for Lyft and helps the less fortunate with his close friend Susan Plummer, his former colleague at DIA. During a trip to Istanbul, Robert aids bookstore owner Grace Braelick in retrieving her kidnapped daughter. Together with Susan, he assists Holocaust survivor Sam Rubinstein in retrieving a painting of his late sister. Upon returning home to find his apartment’s courtyard vandalized, Robert accepts teenager Miles Whittaker’s offer to paint a mural. Following the murder-suicide of an agent and his wife in Brussels, Susan and Dave York are called upon to investigate the case.

In her hotel room, Susan is fatally attacked during what appears to be a robbery. After discovering the skilled and precise nature of the fatal knifing, Robert experiences a similar threat while working as a Lyft driver. Confronting Dave at his residence, he learns that Dave and his former unit have resorted to being hired assassins since their government disbandment. Admitting to killing Susan out of fear she would uncover his involvement in the Brussels murders, Dave’s confession prompts Robert to leave and confront his teammates: Kovac, Ari, and Resnik. As Resnik and Ari make their way to Susan’s home to eliminate her husband Brian, Robert steps in and helps him flee.
