Based on a nonfiction book by Baltimore Sun reporter Justin Fenton, We Own This City (2022) is an American crime drama miniseries. It was created by George Pelecanos and David Simon and directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green. HBO airs the six-episode series on April 25, 2022.
The miniseries chronicles the ascent and downfall of Baltimore’s Gun Trace Task Force, exposing the pervasive corruption within. Focusing on Sergeant Wayne Jenkins, a member of the group of eight officers convicted for corruption in 2018 and 2019, the non-linear plot often incorporates flashbacks.
