X-Men: Apocalypse (2016)

The American superhero film, X-Men: Apocalypse (2016), was directed and produced by Bryan Singer and written by Simon Kinberg, with a story also contributed by Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris. In 3600 BCE, the powerful mutant En Sabah Nur ruled ancient Egypt before being buried alive. Centuries later, he is resurrected in 1983 with a belief that humanity has lost its way. To achieve his goal of destroying and rebuilding the world, he enlists four followers, including Ororo Munroe whom he strengthens with new abilities. Meanwhile, in East Berlin, Raven encounters Kurt Wagner and together they discover En Sabah Nur’s recruitment of Psylocke and Angel for their augmented powers. After the catastrophic events in X-Men: Days of Future Past, and with humanity divided on the threat of super-humans, the all-powerful En Sabah Nur–also known as Apocalypse, the first mutant–emerges from an era where gods once walked among mortals. Unhappy with the modern early-1980s world, Apocalypse turns to a group of mighty mutants–Angel, Ororo Munroe, Psylocke, and a struggling Magneto–to annihilate our corrupt planet and establish a new world order from its ashes. With so much at stake, can Mystique’s shape-shifting abilities and Professor Charles Xavier’s faithful team save humanity from its impending doom?
