X2: X-Men United (2003)

X2: X-Men United (2003) is a Bryan Singer-directed American superhero film, based on the Marvel Comics’ X-Men team. At the White House, a mind-controlled Nightcrawler attacks the President, causing injuries to several agents before fleeing after being shot. Meanwhile, Logan searches for answers about his past at an abandoned military facility in Alberta, but comes up empty-handed. Jean Grey’s increasing difficulty controlling her powers leads to premonitions and distractions. After returning to Professor Xavier’s school, Logan joins forces with Cyclops and Xavier to track down Nightcrawler using Cerebro. At the same time, Storm and Jean Grey rescue Nightcrawler. With approval from the President, Colonel William Stryker investigates Xavier’s mansion for any connections to mutants following the attack.

Stryker’s forces take over the school, abducting some students. Colossus leads the others to safety while Logan, Rogue, Iceman, and Pyro escape. Stryker’s assistant Yuriko Oyama captures Cyclops and Xavier. During the attack, Logan confronts Stryker, who knows him as Wolverine and is familiar with his past. Mystique uses her shape-shifting abilities to gather intel about Magneto’s prison and also discovers plans for a second Cerebro. Meanwhile, in Boston, Logan, Rogue, Iceman, and Pyro visit Iceman’s family and later reunite with Storm, Jean, and Nightcrawler. On their way back to the mansion in the X-Jet, they are attacked by fighter jets and shot down. Luckily, Magneto intervenes and saves them from crashing. He reveals that Stryker has built a second Cerebro to use it against all mutants on Earth by controlling Xavier’s telepathic abilities.
