Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)

Zack Snyder’s Justice League (2021), also known as the Snyder Cut, is a director’s cut of the 2017 American superhero film Justice League, which is part of the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) based on DC Comics’ team of the same name. Centuries ago, Darkseid and his Parademons attempted to conquer Earth by harnessing the power of three Mother Boxes. However, they were thwarted by a united force consisting of Olympian Gods, Amazons, Atlanteans, humans and extraterrestrial beings. Afterwards, the Mother Boxes were scattered and concealed in different locations. In present day, Superman’s death at the hands of Doomsday[d] triggers the reactivation of the Boxes, attracting Steppenwolf – Darkseid’s disgraced lieutenant. Steppenwolf’s goal is to please Darkseid once again by retrieving all three boxes and using them to create “The Unity”, which would transform Earth into a replica of their own planet.

After stepping through a portal, Steppenwolf arrives in Themyscira and engages in a battle with the Amazons to gain possession of their Mother Box. Upon receiving this information, Diana Prince relays it to Bruce Wayne as the two work towards assembling a team of metahumans to safeguard the planet. However, their attempt to recruit Arthur Curry is unsuccessful. Nonetheless, Bruce successfully tracks down Barry Allen, who eagerly agrees to join their mission. Meanwhile, Diana locates Victor Stone, also known as Cyborg, and he joins their cause after his father and other S.T.A.R Labs members are taken hostage by Parademons on a quest for the hidden human Mother Box. As Steppenwolf eliminates Atlantean soldiers and adds another Mother Box to his collection, Arthur is compelled to unite with the team.
