Scooby-Doo & Batman: The Brave and the Bold (2018)

Scooby-Doo! & Batman: The Brave and the Bold (2018) is an American animated superhero film from Warner Bros. Animation and distributed by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, making it the thirtieth installment in the Scooby-Doo direct-to-video series. Mystery Incorporated investigates a string of thefts committed by Puppetto the Puppeteer, who they soon discover is actually Martian Manhunter and Detective Chimp in disguise. With Batman’s intervention, they successfully capture Puppetto and his puppet, leading to Mystery Inc.’s invitation to join the Mystery Analysts of Gotham City, which they accept. However, their acceptance is silently observed by a figure cloaked in red. As time passes, Batman partners with Question and Aquaman to stop a gold heist orchestrated by Riddler, Catwoman, and Killer Croc. Though Aquaman expresses interest in joining the Analysts, he is turned down for not being a detective. Meanwhile, Mystery Inc. meets other members of the Analysts team – Black Canary and Plastic Man – during their visit to headquarters, where they are also joined by an enthusiastic Aquaman as a tagalong member.

Mystery Inc. takes the lead in the next case for the Analysts, who are called upon to investigate an alarm at Gotham Chemical Storage. Upon arriving at the warehouse, they discover that a radioactive isotope has been stolen. Suddenly, a figure wearing a red cloak appears and introduces himself as the Crimson Cloak. He claims to seek revenge on Batman and Gotham for turning him into a ghost. The Crimson Cloak sets fire to the storage facility, but thanks to Plastic Man’s assistance, the Analysts are able to make it out safely. While they work to put out the fire, Batman instructs Mystery Inc. to meet up with them at a nearby diner later on. During this time, Batman reveals an unsolved case that he believes may be connected to the Crimson Cloak; during his first year as a crime-fighter, he tried to stop Professor Milo from experimenting with a dangerous teleporter but unfortunately could not prevent one of Milo’s assistants, Leo Scarlett, from being killed by the unstable device.
