DC Showcase: Catwoman (2011)

DC Showcase: Catwoman (2011), also known simply as Catwoman, is an animated superhero short film directed by Lauren Montgomery and written by Paul Dini. The story follows the first solo adventure of Eliza Dushku as Catwoman/Selina Kyle, as she tries to take down the notorious crime lord Rough Cut and his smuggling operation. However, her plans take an unexpected turn when she discovers a shipment that goes beyond just stolen diamonds. The film opens with two men chasing after a grey cat, but the cat seemingly disappears into the river. Meanwhile, the men join Rough Cut in his limousine and head to a strip club. Inside, Catwoman notices a grey cat with a yellow wristband around its neck and becomes intrigued. Later on, during a dance performance at the club, Rough Cut gives one of the strippers a diamond chunk as payment. This prompts Catwoman to intervene and use her disguise as one of the dancers to confront Rough Cut.

Once the strip club had cleared out, Catwoman and Rough Cut were the only ones left. They engaged in a brief altercation before he managed to flee. Later on, Catwoman ambushed Rough Cut while he was driving a crane truck. She slid the hook underneath the vehicle, causing it to crash and split open a nearby ship filled with goods. The truck overturned, resulting in Rough Cut’s demise. Upon reaching the ship, Catwoman discovered a group of trafficked girls who turned out to be the elusive cargo shipment. She recognized Holly Robinson among them.
