Green Lantern: Beware My Power (2022)

Green Lantern: Beware My Power (2022), an American superhero animated film based on DC Comics, features the John Stewart incarnation of Green Lantern. Produced by Warner Bros. Animation and distributed by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, this movie follows former Marine and Medal of Honor recipient John Stewart as he comes across Ganthet’s spaceship crash. Sadly, Ganthet does not survive the crash, but the Power Ring he carries attaches itself to Stewart’s finger. Utilizing its powers, the ring takes him up to the Justice League Watchtower where he meets Green Arrow, Martian Manhunter, and Vixen. Seeking answers for the destruction they find on Oa and the apparent death of Hal Jordan, Stewart and Green Arrow utilize Ganthet’s repaired ship to journey there. Upon arrival, they come face to face with Thanagarian warrior Shayera Hol who shows them security footage revealing a Rannian ship docking at Oa just before the attack that left Oa destroyed and the Green Lantern Corps slaughtered.

According to Shayera, the war between Thanagar and Rann had momentarily ceased. Jordan had been in charge of a joint venture utilizing Zeta-Beam technology for the benefit of both planets. Unfortunately, the project malfunctioned, resulting in the accidental displacement of Thanagar into Rann’s atmosphere. This caused disruption to both planets’ ecosystems, reigniting the war and allegedly causing the death of Jordan and countless others from both sides. Shayera accused Rann of sabotaging the experiment and launching an attack on Oa. However, Stewart and Green Arrow insisted on further investigation. The team traveled to a Rannian military base that had been raided by Thanagarians, where they encountered Adam Strange, a heroic figure presumed dead but actually transported randomly by Zeta-Beams’ magnetism towards him.
