Justice League Dark (2017)

An animated superhero film, Justice League Dark (2017), was created by Warner Bros. Animation and released through Warner Home Video. As a string of murders take place, innocent people are being targeted as supposed demonic beings. The Justice League comes together to investigate, with the suspicion that magic may be involved. However, Batman remains doubtful. Later that evening at Wayne Manor, he discovers a message on his walls instructing him to seek out Constantine. In a previous encounter five days prior, occult detective John Constantine and Jason Blood challenge the Demons Three to a high stakes game of poker. Constantine offers his House of Mystery as collateral for a collection of artifacts that includes a damaged Dreamstone. When both parties are caught cheating, Constantine uses his powers to make Blood summon Etrigan to vanquish the demons. Afterward, Blood scolds Constantine and they part ways.

Batman enlists the help of an initially hesitant Zatanna in his quest to locate Constantine. With persuasion from Boston Brand / Deadman, Zatanna agrees to assist and leads Bruce to the House of Mystery, where they meet a team consisting of Constantine and other reluctant members. The group is later joined by Black Orchid, the spiritual embodiment of the house, as they come together to investigate the supernatural disturbances. Their journey takes them to Ritchie Simpson, a former friend of Constantine and Zatanna, who is battling cancer and harbors anger towards Constantine for leaving him in his current state. Despite this resentment, Ritchie loans them the Keshanti Key. Thanks to this key, Constantine and Zatanna are able to access memories of one of the victims. However, their investigation is interrupted when a mysterious entity summons a creature to dispose of the victim and cover up any evidence.
