Scooby-Doo! and the Gourmet Ghost (2018)

Scooby-Doo! and the Gourmet Ghost (2018), an American animated comedy mystery film produced by Warner Bros. Animation and distributed by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, follows the gang as they travel to the Rocky Harbor Inn at the invitation of Fred’s uncle, world-renowned chef Bobby Flay. Upon their arrival, Fred is surprised to discover his family connection to the inn’s founder, Edward Flay. However, while exploring the lobby and learning about Edward’s mysterious disappearance centuries ago, they are interrupted by groundskeeper Jeremiah Noseworthy who mentions a red ghost. Bobby explains that this ghost was said to have been responsible for Edward’s disappearance, causing the inn to remain vacant until its recent reopening. As they continue their tour of the inn’s impressive cooking arena, they meet celebrity chefs Giada De Laurentiis and Marcus Samuelsson and his wife Maya Haile along with their cat Bella.

The following day on TV, Gail announces the upcoming show at the inn and interviews Jeremiah, who accidentally reveals that Edward was a traitor. Nacho witnesses Skip confiding in him about leaving due to stress from the Red Ghost, but Skip later changes his mind and returns to rest. A businessman named Bradley Bass arrives and tries to persuade Bobby to sell the inn, claiming he has a valuable asset. However, Bobby declines. Daphne rushes over to Bobby with news of something happening in the arena. To everyone’s surprise, Henry Metcalf, author of a renowned book about the inn, appears. He hands Bobby a folder of papers and explains that during the Revolutionary War, soldiers were welcomed at the inn where they could order take-out wrapped in these very papers. Later that night at the show, chaos ensues as the animatronics malfunction due to the Red Ghost’s interference. The ghost’s actions cause the audience to flee in fear while attempting to chase after our group of friends.
