Scooby-Doo! Pirates Ahoy! (2006)

Scooby-Doo! Pirates Ahoy! (2006) is an animated film, part of a series of direct-to-video movies based on the Scooby-Doo Saturday morning cartoons. While mapping stars in the Bermuda Triangle, astrocartographer Rupert Garcia’s ship is attacked by ghost pirates. His crew is kidnapped and he’s left stranded at sea. Fred invites the Mystery Inc. gang on a birthday cruise, courtesy of his parents Skip and Peggy. Upon arriving in Miami, Scooby and Shaggy have an eerie encounter with a cloaked man who they suspect has nefarious intentions. They meet the enthusiastic Cruise Director Sunny St.Cloud and Captain Crothers, who reveals their destination as the Bermuda Triangle. St.Cloud promises some spine-chilling excitement while Captain Crothers stages fake mysteries that the gang easily solves.

The other guests are irked by this, as they have no mysteries to solve at the moment. Soon, they come across Rupert Garcia floating in the sea, who shares his encounter with ghost pirates. The group assumes it is another set up for a mystery and the crew doubts Rupert’s sanity due to his time at sea. They take him below deck just as a man in a jet-pack lands on the ship from above. This man is revealed to be Biff Wellington, an eccentric English billionaire attempting to break a world record by jet-packing around the globe. He plans to stay on board until he can refuel. That evening, everyone attends a costume party dinner where a cloaked figure takes the stage. They soon discover that it is Mister Mysterio, a renowned hypnotist. Shaggy and Scooby are chosen from the audience for a demonstration, but they prove immune to his powers while the rest of the audience falls into a trance. Mysterio vanishes in a puff of smoke after breaking the spell on the crowd.
