Son of Batman (2014)

Son of Batman (2014) is an animated superhero film that belongs to the DC Universe Animated Original Movies series and the DC Animated Movie Universe. Based on Batman and Son by Grant Morrison and Andy Kubert from 2006, the story follows Damian Wayne, son of Talia and Batman, as he is trained by his grandfather Ra’s al Ghul to take over the League of Assassins. However, their plans are disrupted when Slade Wilson and his team attack the League’s headquarters, resulting in Ra’s’ defeat and death. In order to keep Damian safe, Talia brings him to Gotham City to live with his father. But Damian, being a headstrong and rebellious young boy, defies his father’s instructions and sets out on a personal mission of revenge against Slade.

Nightwing confronts Damian for sneaking out and violently attacking one of Slade’s associates. Batman scolds his son for being reckless and having a willingness to kill. In order to teach him discipline, Batman assigns Damian the role of Robin. Meanwhile, Slade, who now goes by Deathstroke, has captured Talia and Dr. Kirk Langstrom, a scientist who used to work with Ra’s. Commissioner Gordon warns Batman about an abandoned stadium where Deathstroke’s men may be hiding. Batman and Damian enter the stadium in an attempt to question Langstrom, but he initially refuses to leave as his family is being held hostage by Deathstroke. However, when Damian grows impatient and unintentionally reveals their presence, they are suddenly swarmed by Man-Bats. Langstrom reveals that this was part of Deathstroke’s plan to create superhuman flying assassins.
