Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay (2018)

Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay (2018) is an American adult animated superhero film, where lethal criminals are recruited to retrieve a powerful relic. Produced and directed by Sam Liu, it is the 32nd installment of the DC Universe Animated Original Movies and the tenth in the DC Animated Movie Universe. Three years earlier, Amanda Waller sends Task Force X, consisting of criminals with implanted bombs in their heads, to retrieve leaked intelligence. The mission is successful but two members betray the team, leading to their downfall. In present times, Waller learns of a ‘Get Out of Hell Free’ card possessed by former Doctor Fate, Steel Maxum. Diagnosed with a terminal illness, she assembles her squad once again – Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, Killer Frost, Copperhead and Bronze Tiger – to retrieve the card.

The team finds Maxum at a strip club, where they are confronted by Professor Zoom, Silver Banshee, and Blockbuster. Despite facing heavy resistance, the squad takes advantage of Zoom’s weakened powers to escape with Maxum. However, they soon discover that Scandal Savage and Knockout have already stolen the card on behalf of Vandal Savage, leaving him behind. The group heads to Scandal and Knockout’s apartment, but their plans are interrupted by Vandal and his men who take the card and seriously injure Knockout. As they flee, Zoom secretly plants a tracker on Vandal’s airship. Following this incident, Deadshot wants to see his daughter Zoe but Tiger insists on staying focused on the mission. Eventually, they kidnap Frost and convince her to join them after removing her bomb. Using Frost as bait, Zoom’s group sets a trap for the squad, resulting in Tiger being wounded. The team leaves Tiger at a hospital before receiving a call from Scandal revealing Vandal’s location as payback for Knockout’s injury.
