The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo (1985 — 1986)

The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo (1985–1986) is an American animated series created by Hanna-Barbera Productions. It is the seventh version of their popular Scooby-Doo franchise. The initial episode finds our gang on a trip to Honolulu in Daphne’s plane. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, they end up in the Himalayas instead. Inside a temple, two bumbling ghosts named Weerd and Bogel trick Scooby and Shaggy into opening the Chest of Demons – a powerful container that holds the 13 most terrifying ghosts and demons that have ever existed. As only those who let them loose can put them back, Scooby and Shaggy join forces with Daphne, Scrappy-Doo, and a young con artist named Flim Flam to embark on a worldwide mission to capture each ghost and prevent them from causing irreversible chaos across the world.

Helping them out is Flim Flam’s pal, a warlock called Vincent Van Ghou. He stays in touch with the gang through his crystal ball and frequently uses spells and sorcery to aid them. Meanwhile, the 13 runaway spirits try their best to get rid of the gang before they end up back in the chest, often using Weerd and Bogel as henchmen. Both Fred Jones and Velma Dinkley were not present during this adventure as they were off at summer camp, which is revealed in Scooby-Doo and the Curse of the 13th Ghost.
