Avengers: Endgame (2019)

Avengers: Endgame (2019) is an American superhero film about the Marvel Comics team. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it is the sequel to Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and the 22nd movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Just twenty-three days after Thanos wipes out half of all life, Carol Danvers saves Tony Stark and Nebula from deep space. They reunite with Bruce Banner, Steve Rogers, Thor, Natasha Romanoff, James Rhodes, and Rocket on Earth. On an uninhabited planet, they decide to use the Infinity Stones to undo Thanos’s actions but discover that he has destroyed them. In a fit of rage, Thor kills Thanos by cutting off his head. Five years later, Scott Lang escapes from the Quantum Realm. When he reaches the Avengers Compound, he explains that he was only stuck for five hours. Realizing that time travel may be possible through the Quantum Realm, they ask a hesitant Stark to help them retrieve the Stones from the past to reverse Thanos’s deeds in the present.

Stark, Rocket, and Banner – who has merged his intelligence with the Hulk’s strength- successfully create a time machine. They discover that changing events in the past results in the creation of alternate realities, leaving their present unaffected. In Norway, Banner and Rocket head to New Asgard, a settlement for Asgardian refugees, and seek out an overweight and despondent Thor to join their team. Meanwhile, Romanoff journeys to Tokyo to bring Clint Barton on board; he has taken on a vigilante role after losing his family due to previous events being altered. Back in New York City during Loki’s attack in 2012, Banner, Lang, Rogers, and Stark travel through time and end up at Stark Tower. There, Banner convinces the Ancient One to hand over the Time Stone by promising to return all Infinity Stones to their correct timelines. While attempting to steal the Space Stone from 2012 – Loki at Stark Tower, their plan fails and Loki manages to escape with it.
