Avengers: Infinity War (2018)

Avengers: Infinity War (2018) is an American superhero film based on the popular Marvel Comics team. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it follows previous installments The Avengers (2012) and Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) as the 19th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In possession of one of the six powerful Infinity Stones, Thanos and his allies Ebony Maw, Cull Obsidian, Proxima Midnight, and Corvus Glaive intercept a spaceship carrying survivors from Asgard’s destruction. Displaying immense strength, Thanos defeats Thor and obtains another Infinity Stone from the Tesseract. He also kills Loki and Heimdall before destroying the ship. Meanwhile, Hulk crash-lands in New York City and transforms back into Bruce Banner. He reaches out to Stephen Strange and Wong for help as they join forces with Tony Stark to stop Thanos’s destructive plans of wiping out half of all life in the universe.

Maw and Obsidian appear to retrieve the Time Stone from Strange, catching the attention of Peter Parker. However, Maw is unable to take the Stone as it is protected by Strange’s enchantment. Frustrated, Maw captures Strange and takes him aboard his spaceship. Meanwhile, Stark and Parker sneak onto the ship in an attempt to rescue Strange. Wong decides to stay behind at the Sanctum to guard it. Upon receiving a distress call from an Asgardian ship, the Guardians of the Galaxy rush to their aid and successfully save Thor. Realizing that Thanos is after another one of the Infinity Stones on Knowhere, Thor sets off with Rocket and Groot to seek help from Eitri, the dwarf king of Nidavellir. Separately, Peter Quill, Gamora, Drax, and Mantis head to Knowhere only to find that Thanos has already obtained the Reality Stone. In a desperate attempt to protect her sister Nebula from torture, Gamora reveals the location of the Soul Stone to Thanos.
